Maybe if you're a police officer, but everyday citizens do not have that right especially if the shooting is an unarmed individual. Just because someone is acting menacing does not give you the right to blast him away.

This isn't necessarily true.

You have to have a REASONABLE fear that your life is in IMMINENT danger. Your subjective fear isn't the be all and end all.

yea idk what shite this guy is spewing about Castle Doctrine

In LA, your car is considered an extension of your home, therefore, you can apply laws associated with the Castle Doctrine.

DO we have a link for this? My remembrance of the details are a bit fuzzy

you think Joe chased him for 5 miles weaving in and out of traffic and blocked him in at a red light because he wanted to give him a kiss?

Is that what you think the jury is going to think/believe?

Perhaps you could enlighten us with the truth instead of being a prick as usual.

He walked up to his car to ask him to stop following him at high rates of speed.

Joe chased the guy for 5 miles then blocked him in at a red light, got out of his vehicle and approached Gasser's vehicle in a combative manner.... justified shooting IMO

Did he? All official accounts I read say that Gasser chased down McKnight. Gasser could have not pursued him and nothing else takes place.

That has to come into account, Gasser continued to pursue and that led to escalation.

not sure who was chasing who. but , in the pics of the scene, gasser's car is in the right lane and mcknight's car is on the right side where there was no lane.

I meant the pejorative you.

That doesn't even logically make sense. It takes more than "but I felt threatened!" to shoot someone, it requires real justification. When someone does NOT have a gun/weapon, it gets a lot harder to justify.

Good. I hope this wimp's life gets ruined. Using a gun in Road rage. What a fool
Don't forget his past, violent history. You know, the same way McKnight got in a fight at football practice?

well that is what the prosecution is going to have to prove. Because the defense has, hey this guys chased the defendant down blocked him in and came out yelling threatening deadly violence, and the defendant felt his life was in danger.
