Think it was the Roadway Inn, at least in the 60's-70's when I grew up across US-51 / I-55 from there.

Are hookers and crack dealers banging on your door at 3am complimentary?

I was expecting this to be off of Hwy 80 near Ellis Ave

there used to be a hotel like this near the MIA airport in the early 90s

The Executive Airport Hotel? Last time I checked it's still there. Not as fancy though. $45 for 3 hours back in the day was a fortune.

Do not hit that room with a black light. It will look like a Jackson Pollack painting.

Wouldn't all hotel rooms?

These are common in Japan. They're called love hotels. With the practice of having extended family live together, privacy is hard to come by. Of course the Japanese are clean freaks. The folks in Jackson, Mississippi, well..

I stayed in one of the largest Vegas hotels and had a room with mirrors on both sides of the bed and the ceiling. I had no desire to see my body reflected on the ceiling.

Correct. They had the wrong address on their website.
Actual address is 3750 I-55 North Frontage.

I stayed in a brand new Econolodge once, I think it was in Virginia Beach, almost everything in the whole room was coated with some rubber film like stuff.
I guess periodically they came in with bleach and a firehose and sanitized it maybe,,
