They still can in most states. If you'd like a national level Constitutional right, feel free to amend the Constitution.

I actually agree with the ruling. It's clear as day. But I'm still pro-choice.

A bunch of academic lawyers that are prochoice say Roe was a shite ruling. Its a states rights issue.

But leftists hate states rights. They love a big central goverment to plan and control everything

Besides what may happen because of today, they have not been hard to get. I know multiple girls who have had multiple abortions each. Nothing besides the shame of doing it was hard.

What exactly is 'incredibly difficult' about getting an abortion?

Correct. It should remain a state's rights issue until such time as a constitutional amendment is passed legalizing abortion nation-wide, which is the only correct way to make it a national policy.

I'm pro-choice and would vote for such an amendment, but until then it's up to the states, as it always should have been.

's not a coincidence that the states that are most dependent on welfare programs also have the most extreme abortion restrictions.

I think that's the definition of a coincidence. What else do they have in common?

It's also hard to have a reasonable discussion when one side says not being allowed to have an abortion is ushering in the Handmaid's Tale. Yet here we are

Certainly more of your tax dollars will be going to things like EBT and WIC because of this. You hyped for that?

No.

But I can also compartmentalize my distaste for ineffective and expensive social policy and the moral travesty of abortion and legal travesty of Roe

None of that means an abortion is difficult to get in Louisiana. My brother got a girl pregnant a few years ago and had no problems getting it taken care of.

Legitimately curious. Do you think a Constitutional Amendment is the only correct way to make national policy.

I saw your link the first time. I'm asking you what is incredibly difficult in getting an abortion?

That link doesn't backup your claim

It's the only way to add a "right."

You are not for smaller government? I know we need laws, but I don't really agree with these all or nothing type laws.

Should someone be able to get an abortion when they are 6 months pregnant? No. IMO absolutely not.

Should there be some type of timeline that allows woman to have an abortion early in the pregnancy? IMO yes.

If you are looking at it from a religious point of view who says your (in general, im not directly asking about your views) views are the right views?

I don't know every religions views on abortion. Is it the same for every religion that falls under Christian? I seriously don't know. I assume it is, but I truly don't know for sure. Either way, what if their is a religion that says god has no problems with abortion? Then who is right?

Or if someone doesn't make decisions based on their religious views or doesn't have religious views? Who is to say they are wrong?

Either way, the overturning of Roe V Wade just allows states to decide if they want it to be legal or not which I don't disagree with. I think it should be voted on, but on the other hand.. What's the point when someone can just go to a state where it is legal to have an abortion?

When it comes to individual rights, yes. Otherwise it resides at the states.

There's a reason why a woman's right to vote only became nation-wide after the 19th. Up until that point, women voting was a state-level issue.
