The reality is you don't believe that. You know the current system is getting fed plenty of taxpayer money and isn't making any meaningful impact on the prospects of these families.

In all reality, the only people that need assistance are those born with disabilities that severely limit one’s ability to make it in life. When a able bodied poor person says “I cant make in in the world because I can’t do X” what they really mean is “I could, but it would be hard.” When a disabled person says “I cant do X” it’s a statement of fact.

Sad, but true. Yet many rich kids don't end up still being rich. And that's not fair. There should be a safety net for rich kids so that their privilege remains intact. I think an additional tax on the poor could help with this.
