I just find it so weird that there is quite possibly some dude out there who may have popped OBL first/more definitively and he’s not talking and none of the other two who’ve claimed it have let it impact them in the slightest

be willing to bet that this dude has been totally ostracized by the SEAL community and ragrets trying to capitalize on it

I know Bill Rapier who was on that raid and perhaps played a very big role in it has subtly suggested he’s not happy about it.

There's some dispute about this.

He has SEALs on his podcast all the time that he served with and has a public speaking tour with a number of them so I don’t think that is the case.

I guess if you killed the most wanted man in the world you would just go on eating MREs and not saying a word

They should never have named Marcinko as the first commander of ST6. 40+ years on, his loose-cannon ethos still permeates the culture. Meanwhile you'd be hard pressed to find a news story, good or bad, featuring a current or former D Boy.

I know a guy who was in the same class (not sure what the correct term is) with Goggins and he says he’s always been a nut job. That’s all I got on the seals

If the SAS had done it, that's exactly what would have happened.

Funny how there was no photographic or DNA evidence of bin Laden's death. They just used the bullshite “we threw him in the sea” line. And what about the 25 minute blackout during the live feed of cameras on SF soldiers who were videoing the raid?

If he were alive, or his body available, you'd have to think the other side would have had a field day with proving he didn't go out the way the US said.

Sadly, it is hard to decide what to believe anymore.

The Seal Team Six Helicopter Disaster

But something smells funny about the whole Robert O’Neil book. And how the government ever “allowed” it to be published.

Except the SAS didn’t do it did they?

SEALs kicked arse and killed that scumbag and his cohorts and didn’t lose one man doing it.

This quiet professional stuff is overplayed and exists mainly because sharing “classified” op info is often a “crime”…or so says the deep state.

Let the men shout their victory song and coup their enemies.

Take it with a grain of salt, but it does seem like most of the outspoken ex-Seal Team 6 guys who go on podcasts and have huge YouTube followings were in CIA special missions units after they retired from Seal Team 6. I personally don’t believe a word that comes out of any of their mouths
