Electric vehciels are the future

The Rivian R1T just began deliveries before 2021’s third quarter ended. Now that owners have had some time with their Rivian pickups, the real-world tests of the features that potential buyers are curious about are beginning. One of the most significant is a real-world towing test to prove range loss, especially as Rivian has flaunted its vehicle as a capable and dominant off-road pickup capable of handling the most stressful of tasks.
Rivian claims a range loss of “about 50%” on its website when towing. The R1T has an 11,000-pound towing capacity, which is relatively standard among the industry’s pickups. However, Instagram user @gideontherivian took it into their own hands to prove range loss, which evidently resulted in a 62% degradation of the battery after just 118 miles of travel.

Side effects of Rivian may include, ball-shrinkage, loss of appetite, loss of poontang, erotic feelings towards the Aggie colors, and a tendency to really appreciate musical theater.

Do you call a trolling motor an outboard?

Any idiot that uses an electric truck to tow anything more than a sheet of plywood home from Lowe’s is an idiot.

Charging stations in Lockport. Then another one at the camp. But GI loses power all the time. I don't know how this can work

They get limited results when you run them as an inboard.

The key numbers to compare are total range without towing v. Total range towing, under same conditions.
Stupid article.
That said, the loss rate isn't surprising. That's a heavy trailer.

No truck loses 10MPG towing and I can fill my truck up in 5 minutes at a ton of different places.

Awfully convenient opinion of yours.

I promise you I have pulled more stuff with more types of trucks than you and have never had one lose a whole 10MPG.
