quote:

The trend of Ram wheels on Rivians goes back close to a year, as Rivian owners have often balked at the $1,235 price of a full-size factory spare. In their place, users of Rivian Forums identified a stand-in: the 20-inch alloy wheels used on 2002 to 2012 Dodge Ram 1500s. They match the diameter of Rivian's smallest factory wheel, as well as their bolt patterns of 5x139.7. They're not identical stand-ins, as they're half an inch narrower, have a lesser offset at 19 mm (versus 48 stock), and have a smaller bore at 64.1 mm as opposed to the Ram wheel's 77.8. But they still clear the suspension in all height modes though, and with a hub-centric ring have no fitment issues.

I’m in DFW and they are everywhere. I’ve remember seeing the first 4-5 over a course of six months or so, now I see multiple every day.

Is there a reason why people thought they wouldn't fit?

Ugly? Are you for real? Rivians look fricking awesome. The R1T and R1S are the best looking EVs by a country mile.

I’m in Temple so a little poorer, I saw one around town every month or so a year ago not I see a couple a week.

Similar to a Tesla, you’d be like ooooooh if you saw one whereas now I see a dozen a day.

That $80k price tag on the rivian is a bit of a entry barrier.

Um no.

Only an Rivan owner wouldn’t know that any rim with a 5x5.5 bolt pattern will fit.

The Rivian looks great IMO except for the most important part: The face. Trucks are supposed to look strong and manly, not tiny eyed and mildly retarded.

We see them all the time in AZ. They're ok for what they are.

If I had to drive an EV truck, that would be the one.

Offset looks different and the wheels don't add anything to its appearance.
