Ned Beatty, who made an indelible first impression in Deliverance before turning in noteworthy efforts in Nashville, Network and Homicide: Life on the Street as one of the most respected character actors of his time, has died. He was 83.

He's been in many movies, but he'll always be remembered as the fat guy who squealed like a pig and got buttfricked by hillbillies in Deliverance.

One of the more fricked out scenes in movies for that era. Not sure it was necessary to make the movie have such an impact.

Odd that Deliverance was his first role, you could say his career started with a bang, like many of the young women in Hollywood.
