Truly is a hero.

Probably saved many lives sacrificing himself.

That's amazing. Also sad that I haven't heard anything about this until this post.

What a hero, to have the guts to stand up to a gunman.

No telling how many lives he and the others potentially saved.

RIP and prayers to his family

Another one of the students who tackled the shooter, Brendan Bialy, will be leaving for Marine Corps recruit training after graduation

Glad he's getting that kind of recognition, and sorry he lost his life doing it.

God bless him and his family. It also pisses me off more thinking about those sheriffs from Parkland who were hiding wth their guns as kids were being killed because they were cowards.

Hero no doubt and a lesson in self sacrifice.. We drill hiding from these psychos instead of attacking. When attacked the deaths are smaller

From what was reported there was no hesitation either.

He immediately sprung into action, which surprised the gunman.

It was mentioned on the news that there is a Wells Fargo donation site. All of the gofundme sites are not authorized if anyone decides to donate.

Isn't it crazy how people shite all over this generation of kids yet they have to literally worry about getting shot at SCHOOL...

Then you see kids like this who should never be responsible for saving their friends' lives, yet when it's fight or flight these kids do shite the bravest people in the world would admire

I saw a 12 year old interviewed about this latest shooting and he said "I had my hand on a metal bat, because if I was going down I was going down with a fight.". A frickING 12 YEAR OLD said that. This shite sucks.

There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends John 15:13

Hero is an overused word today but Mr Castillo is truly a hero.

Apparently he was an avid hunter and angler.

Some scum bag gun control advocates set up a rally under the guise that it was a vigil for Castillo. 100s of students stormed out in protest.

This kid gets taken out of the world with all his potential, while the mentally ill murderer he helped stop will probably have tax money pay for gender reassignment surgery on the inside.

Yay America.

I heard this on NPR.

I was only half listening, but I guess one of CO's Senators showed up and started going on about gun control. A bunch of students left because they thought there was going to be a vigil for their lost peer, not a political rally.
