RIP Hokie
My favorite Hokie call was when he said Michael Lewis was so fast, he was like hunting a jackrabbit with a hammer

It's been a tough 48 hours for the Saints community.

Link to the final hour of Double Coverage with TBob Hebert and Kristian Garic when they announce Hokie's passing.
Fast forward close to the end if you can. Website link doesn't play well on mobile platforms. Download the WWL app and you can listen to the podcast under the "Audio" menu.
ETA: Just listened to it. A lady called in just before a break to talk about Will Smith and then at the end of her call asked how Hokie was doing and the guys told her what they knew, which that he was in ICU resting with family and friends. Then they come back from that break to announce Hokie's passing and Kristian could barely talk. That was rough.

frick cancer. There is nothing more cruel in this world than fricking cancer. Humans can do a lot of horrible shite, but cancer is a bitch that nobody deserves.

Crap.
I loved that guy. Mainly because he had THE most AWESOME coonass name of all time, but also because he seemed like he was a standup guy. RIP, brother.

His cousin Chipper was my insurance agent. Him and Hokie looked a lot alike and were quality people.
Some guys I knew from Baker used to tell me about what a crazy bunch of fun loving conaases the whole family was.
I remember what a tough Tiger he was when that extra few yards was needed.
