I don’t know the statistics on that, but I had a relative live to almost 101 with zero dementia.
My Mom is almost 92 and plays bridge with 3 women who are all well older than she is and still drive. Mom doesn’t.
My wife's grandma, who passed away last April on Palm Sunday, was 3 months shy of 96 and had zero signs of dementia. She was sharp as a tack to the end

Google search says somewhere between 21 and 48% of all people who are 95 have dementia. It's more prevalent in women.
There seems to be some disagreement over study methods and definitions of what constitutes dementia for the studies' purposes.

My mom passed at 94 and had some signs of dementia. Dad passed just shy of 99 and was pretty sharp until the last month or so as his body started shutting down.

Not as high as I would have thought.

What the hell is going on here? Why does it seem like we have several teenagers on here?

Saw a video on Youtube - local sheriff said Hackman had a pacemaker and the last activity on it took place Feb 17.

Wow. So nobody checked or saw them for all those days and no red flags???? Strange.

What do you all think is their cause of death?
Since Gene Hackman and his wife tested negative for carbon monoxide poisoning, what else could be the cause of death?

Sounds like she died and he just wondered around till he passed out and died. Dog might have died of starvation.

Dog will lay down and die next to their owner. Cats would have started eating the corpses within 3 hrs of death.

But why would one dog be found in a closet?

The other dogs apparently had access to go outdoors from the one article I read.

I’m wondering if we’ll ever know the true story.
