The federal lawsuit, the first of its kind, centers around Lia Thomas, seen with Gaines, who won the 2022 NCAA Swimming Championships as a student at the University of Pennsylvania Hungarian-born swimmer Réka György lost her spot in the NCAA finals after placing 17th in the 500-yard freestyle during Thursday's Division I meet. She is one of the plaintiffs It claims Thomas' win and participation in the event represented a violation of Title IX, which gives women the right to equal opportunity in sports.
Thomas competed as a man as recently as 2019, and her rankings greatly improved following her gender transition. She was ranked 65th when competing in the same category, the 500-yards freestyle, as a male, leading to outrage from activists and female swimmers. Three months after Thomas' win, World Aquatics implemented a ban on transgender women. US Swimming, by that time, had already introduced strict transgender regulations in March 2022, which critics said stopped short of a ban.
However, the NCAA continues allowing transgender athletes in women's sports. The suit asks the NCAA to change its rules to render biological males ineligible to compete against female athletes and that it revoke all awards handed to trans athletes in women's competitions and give them to their female contenders.

Nothing wrong with Title IX and giving women equal access to sports assuming tax dollars are what’s paying for it no matter if you like watching it or not, that’s irrelevant and not the point. What does matter is men starting to take over women’s sports.

Her Rogan interview for International Women’s Day was so great.
She talked about how the male official told her that he was told to give any trophy to Will Thomas in the event of a tie for ‘optics’.
So a man told a woman he had to give the women’s trophy to the other man standing next to them instead of her despite tying with the exact same time.
The tie happened because she swam her heart out and Will Thomas threw that race on Day 2 of the meet. He caught too much heat publicly for outperforming all the women on Day 1 of the meet.

She was great on Rogan.
It was infuriating and chilling when she told the story about that guy Lia getting the trophy and how the officials basically told her that “we can mail your trophy to you at a later date, but we are being told that Lia must be the ONLY swimmer seen and photographed with a trophy.”
There’s definitely a strong agenda being pushed.

Why is Title 9 (not 6) preventing a men’s soccer team at LSU?
Edit: just read something about it. Seems like it’s not an undoable thing, just add a woman’s sport too. Or better yet do away with college athletics in general and focus on what higher learning should be about, higher learning. We are the only nation on earth that ties academia and athletics together to such a degree, and in almost all cases to the detriment of the academic side of the equation. Makes zero sense, universities shouldn’t be about providing entertainment to you.
