Naw, if so he probably would have posted about PNW loggers like White's, Frank's, JK, or Nick's.

Hey now. I own a pair of JK Superdutys and my dad wore nothing but White's (before they went downhill). My dad worked for the US Forest Service and would go out west every year as a wildland firefighter on fire duty.

They are badass boots for real men.

I'd never spend $800 on shoes but I've definitely spent $250-400 a few times.

It took me awhile to realize a $100 pair of Sperrys lasted me a year and a $250 pair of Allen Edmonds boat shoes lasted me 10-15

While it may be going out now PNW loggers were very much a hipster thing for a while. People, including myself, give hipsters a lot of shite but they tend to identify and use high-quality goods (at least the ones that can afford them). All the real PNW boot companies have a common lineage and they were all known for high-quality work boots. This is the very reason they were embraced by hipsters and casual boot wearers in general.

I chuckle to myself when I see someone wearing a pair of those type boots and you can just tell they've never had mud scraped off of them, or had to be conditioned for any reason other than looks. It is the same reaction I have to seeing a lifted 4×4 that has clearly never been off road on purpose the first time.

I wear Thorogood and Redwing, and have a pair of Wolverine 1,000 miles kicking around somewhere. I don't have a need for Nick's and the like. Great boots, but not for me.

ETA: And the last two pair I've bought have been wedge sole because I like the way they feel, and I wouldn't (probably couldn't) wear a moc toe if you bought it for me.

Hate to break it to you, but AE is using leatherboard heel stacks and quite often have sub-par craftsmanship as well. I'm saying that as a person who owns like 6 pairs. I just buy them on sale. Still better than glued fake leather, rubber bottom stuff most people wear and pay 120 bucks for. So paying 175 on sale works for me. But they don't touch shoes like my Carminas.

That one stung a bit, huh?

Brother Gaston can give you a good lead on some $600 skinny jeans to wear with your little logger boots if you want. Be sure to turn the hem up at least once, though. Gotta complete the look.

You can wear your boots when handwashing your jeans twice a year.

Nah. I don’t wear logger boots, nor do I wear skinny jeans, but I for sure dress better than you.

How fat are you? I know you’re a complete slob.

Let me tell you a secret, I don't particularly give a shite how you dress. I would probably make fun of you no matter what you wear.

I can tell that you're a very, very insecure little boy, though.

Yeah, that’s why I’m trying to get you to show us all what you’re like. So we can understand your frame of reference in making fun of others.

This is textbook projection by the way.

Skinny jeans. What year is it?

I assume he is talking about the heel stack instead of the heel cap. I also assume Alden was using leather board instead of natural leather in the heel stack which for the money is unconscionable though some try to argue it is better in some way.

If it makes ya feel better, lil' buddy, you can think I'm 5'3" and go 400lbs. If that keeps me on your mind, I'm fine with you thinking that.

Just try not to be such a sad little feller. Or do, either way you entertain me.

Sea turtle ftw. You can buy them in Mexico but can’t import them so the only legal way to get them is to find some pre ban purses etc. and have them made into boots.
