Hang in there and get a dog.
Get a hobby and play sports . Wreck some people, play music, act in theater, start doing stand up, painting, paintball .

Move away from the self-centered life. Look for opportunities to help others. Maybe through your church or other service organizations.

Video games aren’t going to give you what you want, they are just a place to hide from the questions you ultimately need to answer.

There are basically two paths when everything else is boiled away:
-You can derive pleasure from helping others
-You can derive pleasure from helping yourself

Many people who achieve wealth or fame find themselves surrounded by women, huge houses and all the other trappings of wealth but are trapped in a life completely void of meaning and turn to drugs to hide from their lack of happiness despite “having everything”.

At that point you have to ask yourself if maybe that isn’t the right road?

There are people and children in your city who are suffering and are in need of guidance, love, safety or just a role model.

Maybe try big brothers or volunteer at a retirement home. Sometimes you can find a purpose and worst case you will have helped some other people.

What you ultimately want is to love and be loved so that you can become self actualized, but you can’t love someone the way you need to until you understand yourself a little better first.

Just my perspective, hope you find happiness.

as a 26 year old who plays games most nights... i always keep up with a workout routine and do my best to keep in touch with people, i don't even play games a lot of the time, most often it's just me chilling on a discord server with some close friends while some of us play a game or just chill and talk, i may play an hour or so of a game a night but that's it

don't let games take control of you

Just go out and have fun and live life. I used to go out by myself every weekend when I first moved to Dallas and just meet people. Eventually met my current gf. Just went out, didn’t worry about shite, and enjoyed life. I’m 39 btw, and I just don’t worry about stuff like what you posted because it’s just pointless to get worked up over something out of your control.

I've also come to accept the fact that the only action I'm ever going to get with ladies is probably with VR porn, lol. Or pretending to have sex with anime characters, lol.

Probably better to accept it now

You think your depressed now? Imagine how depressed you would be with a wife and kids? Want to play that VR game? Frick that wife says you need to take Braxton and Jayden to Travelball 6 nights a week.

What do you think? If I'm not going to ever have a wife and family, why bother? I loved gaming back in the day and I've followed a fair amount of anime and sci-fi series into adulthood. Part of me is thinking to just retreat from the real world and absorb myself back into gaming and into anime and sci-fi. Heck at this point the gaming and fantasy world seems better anyway

36 is too young to give up on the family thing if you really want it.

The fact that you're self-aware and intelligent enough to make this thread tells me that you won't be satisfied with just checking out and living a simulated reality. It may work for awhile, but not very long, and then you'll regret the time you spent doing that.

Human nature and modernity being what they are, I believe there are a lot of 30-something single women that are in need of a strong man and deep down want a family.

Be a strong man. Be correct in yourself, and everything else will follow from that.

I play video games and still have a life...dont see why you can not do both. Just have basic self control and dont spend all day on them you will be fine.

I'm 32 and I don't see myself ever getting married/having kids. Gaming is a big hobby, but I also socialize a lot at the bar, with women (SHOCKING - sarcasm). I just don't want to put in the work for a relationship... I really don't give a shite.

You'll get lonely and find another psycho to date in 3-5 months.

She will trick you into thinking shes not crazy at first.

Then you'll try to convince yourself you can deal w the crazy because you've experienced it before and its not AS BAD.

Eventually the bullshite will get so thick you start to want your games back, but you'll drag the relationship out longer because having someone to sleep with is still better than only having a game to come home to.

TLDR: just use the games as a vice until the next succubus comes along. Pull out and if you go for seconds use a Jimmy.

I can understand the frustration.... but personally, I could never "give up" women. I could understand considering all women are liars and ho's, but.... it's just their nature. As long as they are equipped with vagina's, boobs, and soft lips...... they are still a necessary evils. Besides, what is the alternative? Cocks and video games? Neither can take the place of a nice package of female goodies. IMHO

If you’re 36 and not married you’re probably gay and haven’t realized it yet
