These stories are why I always hated showing up close to closing time at pizza places and such. Couldn't be helped, other than starving, so I was always apologetic, got it to go and left a nice tip.

Still worried about the poor slob in the kitchen spitting in my food.

In college…worked for Fat Tuesday / New Orleans Original Daiquiris.

Had to cut a guy off and ask him to leave because he was harassing everyone. Seemed to take it in stride. Called a cab for him. No arguments, no yelling, no cussing. Asked if he could go to the restroom before he went outside to wait for the cab.

Ten minutes, guys are complaining they need to piss and the mens room is locked and water is seeping under the door.

Well…get the door open and WHOOSH. Water everywhere about 4-5 inches flows out into the bar. He’s jammed paper towels under the door. Ripped a picture off the wall, put it on the sink, under the faucet, turned it on.

Bathrooms had drop ceiling. He apparently climbed up and over to the womens room to leave.

Actually couldn’t be mad. Was more impressed than anything

I really hate when people try to stand around and chat at me while they wait on their prescriptions. I’ve even had to say, “Sorry, I need to focus. I don’t want to make a harmful mistake on your meds.”

For some reason it is a pet peeve of mine when I see people talking to someone who is working. Whether its the pharmacy, a cashier... When I am waiting for the doctor and I can hear him in the next room with what usually sounds like an older person, who has to tell him about everything going on in their life..

Its just the unawareness of it. As if they have no idea there are people other than them who has to be served.

I delivered pizza in the Government/ Old Goodwood area years ago. Black folks never tipped. There were also a lot o white folks that didn't. Usually the ones that didn't looked like they were working on a liberal arts master.

After being screwed a few times, everybody delivering knew which houses did not tip. I had an old S-10 with a 4-speed. If I delivered, and was stiffed on the tip, I would always drive by later on another delivery. I would drive through their yard, drop it into 2nd, gun it, cut the wheel, and power slide across their yard, digging the whole way.

Others would just spit on the pizza crust before it was cooked, once they recognized any of the non tipping addresses. Some added a little nose candy, then cooked it.

Never treat those that make, or bring, your food poorly. If you cannot afford to order out, don't.

I see 18 DVQ's that used to live in Old Goodwood, now sick a little bit, because they were perennial non-tippers. Just so I will know, was it the spit, or boogies you ate that made you pukish? I am actually surprised there are 18 of you cheap pieces of shite on here. Are y'all homeless now, and posting on your Obama phones?

I worked at Sears through college as a lawn and garden / hardware salesman. Had an old man come in and preceded to tell me multiple times that he was from Hot Springs village (uppity retired pricks).

He asked for a senior citizen discount on like a 20 dollar tool. I told him we don't have senior discounts, we don't even have military discounts (I was a Mday guard guy at the time). He cussed me and threw the tool down and said I won't buy anything without a discount.

As he he started walking away I said " well if your fat farking butt thinks it's going to ruin my day your wrong".

Well he heard me and so did my manager. He asked what I said and my manage said "he said have a nice day"

Thought I was gunna get fired but he was a cool old man and just laughed.

This. Those are the guys you go to war for.

I was a weekend manager for a family attraction center/sports complex after college, trying to make ends meet. Well, we had a travel hockey team come in and they destroyed our locker room. shite everywhere, clogged up the toilets, everything. One of the high school kids comes to get me when he has to turn over the locker room. I don't make him clean it- I do, while he holds the contractor bags.

I check the schedule, find out which team was in the dressing room. See that they're also on the schedule in a week's time for practice. I wait until coach comes in later that week, and tell him what his kids did. He canceled their regular practice routine, and bag skates them (think windsprints until everyone pukes). The high school staff and I get popcorn, sit in the stands, and watch, as the travel team begs for practice to end.

Revenge was sweet.

Anyway, large family (grandparents to all the kids, ~25 total) comes in after church.

I know the stereotype is black families are the worst tippers, but in my experience Wednesday night and Sunday lunch post church crowd is BY FAR the worst tipping demographic.

Worked at Publix in college. Wasn't a bad job but there was one woman who would come in five minutes before closing, fill up two carts, and take at least an hour to do her business. Bitch just wanted the store to herself. We weren't supposed to start the closing process until all the customers were gone so we would have ten employees waiting around for an hour or two for her to leave. I was there until midnight once when I was supposed to be off at 1030.

I managed a PC sales/service operation. This attractive but bitchy woman bought a laptop with a 1 year warranty. During that one year she must have brought it in 5x for dumb issues, then a few days before the warranty expired she brought it in and insisted she wanted a new laptop because this one was 'acting funny'. We could not find anything wrong with it except the usual viruses and malware, but she was loaded with threats, so since prices had fallen I traded it for a new model. No big deal.

I go to clean her laptop out so I can use it for demos and find it loaded with hundreds of personal pictures of her and her BF's. We all got a kick out of that.

Been in the restaurant business for a long time so I have more stories than I care to count. The one that happened recently had a guest call and complain about a steak she ordered to go. We re-made her steak…when I walk to her car to deliver it, she is in her car in the parking lot and she is eating the steak that she complained about…
I said, here is your re-made steak, can you give me the wrong one so I can see the problem…
She says( with steak in her mouth), she threw it away…I say, wow, it looks like you are eating it, which can’t be true because that would be stealing, right?”…
She says are you calling me a thief? I say, of course not, have a good night.

Worked at Western Sizzlin in Slidell-worst customers were busloads of drunk Atlanta fans after the Saints/Falcons games.

I worked at Toys R Us for about 8 years when my kids were little. Worst customer was a lady who tugged at my awesome orange blazer to ask me where a Power Ranger item was.

I was working at a shoe store. It's Christmas Eve and the store has been slammed all day, at the end of the night right before closing a well dressed gentleman comes in and wants a single pair of socks, 2.99 I think.
He pays with a $100 bill and then once I give him the $96+ in change and put up the $100 bill he says "Oh wait I have exact change, counts out the exact amount and says "now give me back the 100." I didn't fall for it and he gets insistent and the manager comes over.
I tell my boss he's lying, but he is well dressed and a smooth talker. My boss wanted to count the register but there was so much business that day that it was stuffed. He starts throwing the race card and that he has to go and give him his money blah blah blah. My boss gave it to him and of course there was 100 missing from the register when we counted it.

He kept his change from the $100 bill and then also got the bill back. It's apparently a common scam.
