One of the flights I recently was on, they paused boarding of the coach class so that the stewardess could rush in a glass of wine from the terminal to someone in first class. That miffed a few people

Can you rub one out in one of these? I've never been in one. I usually fly private.

I've always said they should make the poors board from the back so I don't have to see them. Seems like it would be a win win.

When I was getting on a flight from Greece they did this. Lufthansa fwiw

I've never flown first class.

The one time I had a chance was on our honeymoon, and my wife's uncle tried to call the airline and bump us up to first class, but the airline I chose (because I'm a cheap piece of shite) didn't even have first class

Tell 'em to fly Southwest then if it's going to rile them up that much.

That's normal. And why would anyone get upset about that?

I've been bumped to first class before and it's fun.

That being said, I really don't find airline travel that bad to begin with. The only annoying thing lately is those stupid emotional support animals. The animals are terrified, pissing, and shitting on the plane.

I feel angry until I remember they paid 5 times as much for those seats.

Yeah, I have never understood paying up for first class on less than a 2 hour flight. But hey, it's their money.

Most people that are sitting in First Class on a domestic flight have status with the airline and are upgraded complementary.

I usually fly for work. Work pays for the basic flight, then I go check if I have enough points to upgrade to business class. Or sometimes if you pay attention, it's only like 30-50 bucks. I'm only flying NOLA to Houston, so it seems dumb, but even though the flight is only 55 minutes, you damned near double it with boarding and exiting the plane. Being in business class gets you in your seat with a drink in your had watching TV instead of standing in your designated line for 15 more minutes. And you are getting a cab before the last person is even off of the plane. Totally worth it to me.

Now personal trips where first class is stupid expensive.....I haven't paid for that yet and don't know if I'll ever do it.

First class seats are for those poor bastards that have travel nonstop for work and get status with the airlines. Private planes are for the wealthy

ETA: most first class domestic looks only slightly better than coach and yet still cost way more

I pay for a coach seat, and get upgraded for every flight. So no, I pay the exact same, if not less.

This.

It's the cool thing these days to rip on successful people on the basis that it's "not fair" to the unsuccessful.
