46 miles? no way you bought this right?

Here’s an article about it. Let’s call it between 33-46 miles away. Kerrville is 18 miles from the camp. And Comfort is 15 miles from Kerrville.

I am thrilled to hear of any camper being rescued at this point. No matter how far away.

But I can believe the rescue effort is so difficult given how fast the river was flowing. That’s a lot of ground to cover.

Sounds like the girls that the two girls surviving in the tree pointed out were no longer alive

Oh I hope that’s not true!

Sadly again I think it was another false claim from someone wanting to be first to report but not doing their job

I don’t see in the article where the two girls rescued went missing from

Story has been retracted. Sadly, there were no two girls found alive in a tree.

I had my hopes up, so I would imagine the parents of missing girls did as well. So sad.

Seemed too good to be true unfortunately.

Sadly this is recovery now, not rescue.

I’ve already said this the other day but people that give out false information are the scummiest people on this earth. The false hope it gives is just a gut punch to the victims families. There needs to be accountability

Yes it is, now it’s just about how many clicks someone can get on social media.

All of this, from the claim to the reporting, stems from one jackass who is supposedly "on the ground" doing S&R work. Assuming he is actually out there and he did make a video saying this, they should find that a-hole and escort him out of the area. He's done way more harm than any help he has given.

Houston Chronicle article on two sisters whose bodies were found with their hands locked together. Heartbreaking.

It’s a long article with some ads between paragraphs so I’m not copying and pasting from my phone.

Yep. Names of victims coming out. Another camp owner confirmed dead. Heart of the Hills camp. She got her staff and family to safety before disappearing. Camp was not in session yet so no other kids were there.

Sadly most people are not going to know the difference between “recovered” and “rescued “ as there is no reason to unless you have been through something like this before or are a first responder type.

They hear that 2 girls were recovered in a tree and that turns into 2 girls found alive and everyone wants to share good news and it goes viral.

Now the local Kerr County newspaper printing it online and saying it was verified by multiple sources is a different story, they should have higher standards.

From my understanding it was reported from the guy on the ground that they were found alive.
