Reporter who quit on air while reporting about marijuana faces 54 yrs in prison

Though the state legalized the manufacture, sale and possession of the drug in 2015, the state had failed to give Greene the proper certifications for the club to run retail operations.
The Alaska Cannabis Club allowed people to buy memberships which allowed people to make “donations” in exchange for marijuana. Authorities in Alaska had launched a series of raids on her club and eventually charged Greene.

1. I feel like "Green" is an appropriate name for running this operation.
2. She probably should have not drawn an undue attention to herself if she was running this operation.

What happened to big-league bootleggers who were in the hoosegow when alcohol prohibition was repealed? Did they get reduced sentences or was a movement made to get them out?
I'd hope/imagine that even if this chica is sentenced to something ridiculous like 30 years, she'd get out early once MJ was legalized at the federal level (within 16 years) or at the state level (probably within next 10 years in libertarian Alaska).
