Damn. We actually got to under $2.00 this week here. Been around $1.95 this week.

The ride up will be nice when the Middle East starts to erupt. They can only be peaceful for so long before they start blowing each other up.

I would do terrible things for $70 oil. You'd be hard pressed to find an oil producer that would be opposed to $70 oil.

That's all I was getting at. Thanks for a real answer.

We know we can afford 2.50 gas. Just didn't know if producers would be profitable to a point of expansion(not laying off mofos).

Gas is $1.39 pretty much all over Oxford today. Normally in Batesville it's a good 10-15 cents cheaper, too.

Looks like the oilfield baws are just like the crawfish farmers

Gas isn't cheap because this is "summer gas"

401K will go up and down many times before i retire, that part doesn't bother me. Look at it as a way to buy at a discount

I fully understand, it just doesn't make everything else being down any better. I could at least feel some bit of comfort if the market were strong even if profits and profit sharing were down.

While I don't wish for anyone to lose their job, at the same time, I'm not going to pretend to be sorry that the rest of us aren't being fricking gouged at the pump just because O&G outfits can get away with it.

Industries go up and down, something else will hit a rough patch when O&G kicks back up.
