Crumbling teeth and remembering I’m enrolled in a class I haven’t been to once just before finals.

I have the crumbling teeth dreams sometimes too, often actually.
Also, I’m driving on a bridge , high up in the air , a narrow bridge with water down below , and I cannot control my vehicle.

One night I kept dreaming someone was in my room. When I reached for the light switch something grabbed my hand and swung me around. I woke up scared to turn on the light, fell back to sleep and dreamed the same thing, and had the same response. It was when I was home for Spring Break. My mom woke me up and said she heard me moaning.

My 3 most recurring:

Ive had many a dream moaning like someone “dark unrecognizable figure” just standing over me and I can do anything. Like I’m trying to wake myself up and can’t.

Also the class thing and being unprepared.

Also car falling into water and or drowning dream.

I had to quit working my job in Dallas selling advertising because a blood clot messed up my leg. I moved in with my parents to rehab the leg, so not working wasn't my only change.

During the 1st couple of years of not working and trying to get more mobility, I had several dreams where I met people I worked with for lunch and couldn't find my car to go home. I then tried to walk home and got lost. In those dreams I'm not crippled. I'm but I'm just walking around, lost.

None of the places where I was lost were places I recognized from my time in Dallas, but there was an area that looked like University/Highland Park. At that point I knew where I was. Sometimes I would try to climb over a fence, cut through a large residential property, and get told it's not OK to do that. Going around the large property is where I got lost.

I've never walked through that area, but for some reason think that shortcut would get me home.

------
I once dreamed I went back to my old print advertising job. My 1st day back they had a brand new, untrained salesperson and I in a room that was between where the sales force worked and their break room. The sales people were constantly opening one of the doors, and walking between the other 'New' person and I to get back and forth. We were sitting on the floor with nothing but old dial telephones and Yellow Pages making calls. I never had to sit on the floor, but when I started that job back in 1984, calling businesses from the Yellow Pages was how I spent my 1st day out of training.

The next time you have that dream look me up, I’m the dude who got there late with no idea where his classes are and won’t graduate unless I pass the tests that day….haha I’ve been out of school for 50 years..

What’s wild to me is that nearly 30 years after school, I’ve never had similar dreams around a work or family crisis. I have far, far more responsibility in my life now than as a student, but when my brain wants to crank up the anxiety it harkens back to events from your youth.

I assume it’s just the lack of perspective as a kid, or the increased lack of fricks as an adult.

This sounds more like an acid trip. One time I had an acid trip where I was 100% sure cops riding mini donkeys were chasing us. The police were too big for the donkeys and their feet was dragging on the road, but for some reason they were able to stay right behind us. They kept pointing at me telling me "we are coming to get you" and they were laughing.

The people I was with told me I kept saying "Go! These mother frickers had it up to their ears with me!"..

But to answer this question. I often have dreams that involve going back to junior high school at the age I am now, but with the kids I went with and they are the same age as they were in junior high. And for some reason I need to pass the grade to move on with my life. I am one of the smartest people in class and the kids tell me "you should be the smartest because you are old" and then I end up failing the class.

Its always a different setting, but the storyline is the same.

I had a similar one, the car was speeding in a fog and I couldn't see ahead and couldn't stop. I traced it back to riding in the backseat with my father driving like a maniac, which he always did, then that dream stopped.

It was replaced with one where I can't find my parked car, I walk and walk, it is getting darker and darker. That maybe from walking around in those huge parking lots of cars after an LSU night game. I was 10, about 1960, my dad had a few drinks and we couldn't find the car.

Had it last night actually:
I’m in either high school or college and there’s a ton of work in a math class that I haven’t done yet, I haven’t set foot in the class all year/completely forgot I had it, and it’s finals week.

Very similar. I'm late to school and didn't realize I had a ton of important homework that I didn't complete. Basically get to class as it's ending. I've had this dream a bunch of times over the years.

Also, I lived in my 1st home as a kid until I was 20yo. Have never been back. I'm 48 now and ALWAYS dream about that house. If I'm going home in my dream at my current age, I go there. If I'm at home with my kids, I'm at that house. Never fails multiple times a week, I dream I'm at that house. NEVER any other home. It's strange.

I have one where I’m a teepee, and another where I’m a wigwam.

I asked my doctor about them.

He said I was two tents

Also what others have said -- having a class that I either forgot about or never went to and show up for the final completely unprepared and panicked.

It's curious though why this dream for me (and it seems others) is always about class/exam and never about work/projects/deadlines.

The other dream I have is that someone/something is chasing me and I can't run away. My legs weigh too much to move, or even one where I sank into mud, or the ground actually tilted up preventing me from getting away. I never see who or what I'm trying to get away from though.

Weird that I didn't think much about this until reading all these responses. But somewhat recently I've had dreams of being back in college and I didn't remember what my class schedule was. Couldn't remember which class I had next or where to go.

lol that's one I get from time to time. Can't find a toilet and it's an emergency. I'll wake up from it and find that my bladder's about to burst.
