The Meadows at Nicholson, a 204-unit development at 11777 Nicholson Drive, is under construction and should open in the summer.
So much for the water campus and other construction hopefully gentrifying that shithole corridor.
ETA: It’s by Gardere. Still a shithole that’ll never gentrify.

Developing that area never made any sense to begin with, imo. The Gardere ghetto is right there as is the stink from the massive wastewater plant. Plus, you're talking about the lowest elevation area in the whole parish with the flood basin around Bayou Manchac. I don't understand why anyone ever thought that would be a good location to gentrify, let alone put a resort/casino.

Thats $175,000 a unit. No way no how.
Land aint worth shite, can build those for about $40,000 a unit.

Any hope L'Auberge had of further developing that area has been lost.

Isn't there an upscale housing development right by the casino on River Road?

Yep. Overpriced and struggling to sell from what I’ve heard.

How has Indigo Park held up? They're right there next to it and have been for a while

They will destroy it with the quickness. They hate mini blinds.

Polite code for "Section 8".
I'm going to be generous and give it 6 months before they have their first shooting.

Not close enough to my house to care.

Time to invest in dollar stores and payday loan lenders.

This is great news. Now Gravy can move out of his mom’s house.
