Not defending the Drive Shack deal in any way…

But that whole riverfront district was a massive no bid corruption boondoggle that thankfully was shelved.

Doesn’t everyone know TopGolf belongs on the Northshore near the Causeway?

Maybe Barnes & Noble would be interested in opening a mega-bookstore there or the mayor can build a state of the art public library. The library could even include space for things like ceramic kilns or sewing looms for people to pursue their hobbies.

Has anyone contacted Sur La Table? Another sure fire fit in that spot.

Maybe offer the site to Hubig’s.

Y’all I drive by there everyday and had no idea anything was going on. Millions in construction? They haven’t done shite.

They built a couple of cinder block walls. One collapsed in Ida. What a sad joke of a freaking place.

Aside from a mega bookstore in New Orleans being a laughable idea, Barnes & Noble have shut down 200+ locations in just the last year

Joe Jaeger is a massive a-hole.

From his dilapidated plaza tower to his killing of topGolf. True piece of shite.

However, the Topgolf project was shelved amid complaints from the owners of the Drive Shack project, which had the backing of local politicians and Gov. John Bel Edwards.

Louisiana is going to Louisiana. Couldn't get Buccees either. Crazy the amount of business run out of the state or told to frick off because they don't pay the right bribes to the right people.

It would make a good shooting range. Proximity to the interstate is great for practice!
