Water shortages have nothing to do with global warming. The amount of water - fresh or salt - is virtually unchanged on Earth for billions of years.
Local shortages are due to pollution or overuse.

The climate dictates where the water is, nothing else matters but the climate. Whether the climate can be changed by human activity I have no way of knowing, but is changing just like it always has, and we keep ignoring it

The amount of water on Earth never changes. The amount of fresh water can vary for a local population due to pollution or overuse. The amount of fresh water on the planet can vary slightly year to year, but over time is virtually unchanged.

Anyhow - I am genuinely happy for the owners of property on Lake Travis. It must truly be miserable to have a piece of property on a lake like that and not be able to fully utilize it. Long time coming.
I remember when my sister went to the lib side she was certain Texas lakes were going dry and I didn’t know anything.

Yes, it varies over short periods, but over time it is virtually the same.
And the point is that it has nothing to do with global warming, which is what this thread is about. Even your quote states this is due to geologic changes, and overuse.
