I’m trying to figure this out as well. You don’t notice that the street is almost 2 feet higher than the yards pretty quickly into the repaving process and say hold up this isn’t right?

I was in that group.
We were told that the drainage lines and water lines under the street were being built higher to offset future sinkage, which sucks for the residents but it makes complete sense.
But I guess it was bullshite.
Is it too much to ask for SE Louisiana to have ONE civil construction / engineering firm that isn't a complete shitshow?
