Sweden was neutral (officially) during WWII.

Ah...touche'.

My assumption was the (common) confusion with Switzerland, which continues to remain "neutral" even into 2020.

ETA: Now I'm into a rabbit hole of neutrality and it appears Sweeden had continued that, as well...

The downvoters can’t bear to be faced with facts. Pity.

Well I was downvoted in one of my responses where all I said was that I hadn’t lost my job because of this, so I imagine a lot of people are heavily biased if they’ve been laid off and it’s harder to look at this objectively.,

If you aren't in a LTC facility you have virtually zero chance of dying from this disease.

Well Sweden hasn't done that bad and their deaths are on the downslope. Of course they had more cases up front given their approach, but no one can say who did best until this is all over. The OP is claiming that Sweden has lost just because it is down 10 points in the middle of the second quarter.

The fact that the rest of the world, including the US, is moving to Sweden's approach speaks volumes. No one will come out and say that, but that is exactly what is happening. Most people now recognize that the shutdowns were a huge blunder that accomplished nothing other than stretching out the crisis. Those are the facts.

Belgium: 824 deaths/million
UK: 588 deaths/million
Spain: 580 deaths/million
Italy: 557 deaths/million
Sweden: 452 deaths/million
France: 445 deaths/million

One of these countries treated their citizens like adults.
The other five countries treated their citizens like subjects and toddlers.

Chile is 6 weeks behind us, but shutdown on the same weekend as us. They are peaking now, even with a lockdown.
