There's still a Cock of the Walk in Ridgeland MS. Been there for almost 40 years.

Steak n Ale was my jam back in Florence, SC
The Steak N Ale on Lemmon Avenue in Dallas was big for business lunches in the 80's.
There was a Burger Chef in Monroe on Hwy 165 out by Wossman High School.
Ate at both Shoney's and Kip's Big Boy restaurants.

The one in Tupelo closed??
Yes after 45 years. Dollar General bought the location and will tear down the Bonanza building.
The 10 remaining Bonanza Steakhouses are scattered across the country with another five in Puerto Rico. The Tupelo location is the only one south of the Mason-Dixon Line.

D2'ed Sambo's at the "Five Points" intersection in Monroe a couple of times.
Did it regularly at Vagabond Grill. I'm talking D2'ing them two, or three, weekends in a row regularity.

Sears use to franchise at one point right? I remember they would be in smaller towns then years ago many of those shut down and they were pretty much just a department store.

The cock of the walk in Natchez was dope. But the fish fry in vidalia had the best fried catfish on the planet. The guy that owned it made a fricking fortune on it and turned it into a bbq place. I still give him shite about it every time I see him.
Anyone up in the Carolinas know if PD Quix is still around? I used to fricking love that place. Their seasoned waffle fries were the GOAT.

I u see to go to the Roy Rogers on Veterans near Clearview. My favorite was their hamburger with the roast beef gravy.
It was on Oaklawn and Vets, katty-corner to Burger King..

The old Cock of the Walk in Lafayette had a moat around it with ducks. You had to walk across a little bridge to get to the front door. It was cool.

I loved Kenny Roger's Roasters. I think I read on wiki that they still have them in Asia.

This is an awesome blog where the guy reports on defunct chains like this. His Rax article was incredible.
