When we say they don't make them the way they used to, this is what we mean.

I generally enjoy this channel.

For the insecure, trigger warning: he goes after the brodozers.

I had a 95.5 model. Single cab, 4wd stick. Manual hubs. Classic 90s green. The first year for the "Tacoma" name plate.

Had some weird finishing issues being the first year, but you still see this 1st gen all over the road and I think it's more handsome than the 1st gen restyle.

Unkillable.

I like the toyota "pickups" that predate them too.

Have a 3rd gen. Have no illusions about its longevity/reliability compared to it's predecessors but I imagine it'll still hold up better than the turbo era.

Really cool.

I’ve got a 2005 base tacoma. It’s been a great vehicle. Bought it new for 15k right after getting my first adult salaried job. I haven’t taken good care of it (parked outside in the elements and my kid and I have taken a toll on the interior) but if I had taken care of it the darn thing would probably still be worth what I paid in 2005.

I drive a 2003 single cab 2wd Tacoma with the 2.4 back and forth to work and love it. I have 440K miles on it and still rolling just fine. I’ve changed the ball joints and all the usual front end components a few times. The engine has been solid. I would love to get my hands on another one.

I’ve had 3 Tacoma’s all 4 door, all SR5’s.

A 2009 Put 209,000 miles. Never had a major problem, normal maintenance!

A 2019. Put 55,000 same as above.

A 2021. 156,000 Normal maintenance, nothing major. This one I’ll probably put over 200,000 on it.

That guy is insufferable. He’s a flaming lib who knows nothing about cars.

His early stuff was funny but he hasn’t done a good video since 2018
