I said Congress. Not passed the Senate and signed into law by Biden.

Yeah I know what you said and I’m still correct. No law has been passed as of yet.

Where are all the feminists demanding equity by requiring women to register?

No. Wish you could do them both at the sane time. We vote at the local library.

But you still have to go to the courthouse... or maybe its online now to register? I would think it would be done then.

Pretty sure when you register to vote you automatically get registered for the draft.

My buddy just lost an opportunity with the fed govt bc he didn’t register. He’s 43 now so it doesn’t even matter but he can’t ever work for the fed gov. It’s kind of ridiculous.

The biggest threat to the Feds is, ironically, using the draft again. Not going to happen

Too bad. His broke the law and now he's receiving the punishment. He's lucky he didn't get hit with a huge fine or imprisonment.

Selective Service registration is required by law as the first part of a fair and equitable system that, if authorized by the President and Congress, would rapidly provide personnel to the Department of Defense while at the same time providing for an Alternative Service Program for conscientious objectors. By registering, a young man remains eligible for jobs, state-based student aid in 31 states, Federally-funded job training, and U.S. citizenship for immigrant men.

Because there was a decrease in the number of registrations as registering for the service was no longer required to get student loans.

Should have made selective service a requirement to cancel student loans.

When I enlisted in 1983 (army), my recruiter told me that I still had to sign up for Selective Service.

I got medical discharged 12 years ago so theres no chance that I'll have to serve in the military again.

I've also done some IT work for the DoD, but the only way I'll ever do any military bullshite again is if we have a civil war and I have to protect my family.

Will you go with him when he interviews for a job ? He should do the paperwork himself.
