I can easily see my oldest kid and his friends doing that. 
My youngest is a straight A student, tests in the 98-99th percentile, is a 2nd degree black belt, etc. My oldest - raised the same way - is a dumbass. I bought my wife a stun gun, and he was begging her to shock him with it. Constantly doing stupid crap. I don't get it.
