Reddit Bay Area user discusses their Louisiana experiencePosted by Baws on 11/27/20 at 10:00 pm

"So my wife and I are visiting Shreveport, Louisiana for the first time and it reminds me how much I love the bay and how different the bay is from other areas.
I wanted to see what a decent to nice 2 bedroom apartment runs here...$800 to $1000. One bed about $600 bucks. Immediately I thought...what in the hell is wrong!? But you start to quickly realize that’s the going price.
Median income here is $38k. Imagine what you could do with your Bay Area salary!
Breakfast was ok, nothing too spectacular. My wife and I had traditional breakfast, eggs, toast, bacon etc...and the total was $26.
Oh, and I ordered hash browns and it’s not the flat shredded potatoes, rather it’s what we’d call country potatoes.
A lot of trucks!! Trucks dominate the landscape, as it appears there are more trucks than cars.
Lastly, I know there are people everywhere that support Rebel flags and early southern ideals, but I’ve seen more rebel flags and nationalists groups in the 1 1/2 days here than my entire 43 years of my life.:

Somebody should tell him that North Louisiana isn’t Louisiana.

Thanks for visiting. You should visit Cedar Grove and Allendale to get an appreciation for our rich and diverse culture. Just walk right up and talk to anybody. Have a safe trip back home.

Was there a nationalist group parade or something? I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen a nationalist group anywhere in Louisiana.

Why did they choose Shreveport? Where did they fly to? Direct from the bay? Most cities aren't special enough to merit direct flights.

Was there a nationalist group parade or something?

It looks like he moved to Dallas, but also made a post that he can't take Dallas and will be moving back to his bay area blue bubble shortly.
