Reasoning behind Jussie Smollett claiming he’s “not suicidal?”

Anyone have a theory on this?
Whether he’s killed in jail or not, why would the media have any reason to cover this up?
If anything, wouldn’t they want to make him a martyr if he is killed? I also don’t see a reason why he would off himself for martyrdom.
What’s the running conspiracy behind this odd behavior?

Probably because powerful people, like Kamala Harris, put him up to it. He doesn't want to get whacked over their fear of him exposing them.

He faked a hate crime for attention.

My theory is he’s going to fake attempt to kill himself and claim he was attacked and try to get more sympathy points and potentially released from jail.

I think he should spend his time in a psychological facility strapped to a gurney.
