That all sounds really safe. Nobody slapping your kids around at school, nobody slapping you around in the neighborhood. Just safe, cozy, and warm. House looks very beta, but that's ok. Sounds like you're a very safe person.
Is that supposed to be a slight? I'd say props to him for providing a safe environment for his family. I mean, i'm sure his kids would rather get accosted on their way home from school or listen to ambulances and gun shots in the inner city, but some people actually want their family to be safe and not exposed to the sewage that is "culture" of the inner city.

Holy shite, I didn't think that was his real house. I thought it was a joke.

That’s a woman who’s only ever done it missionary with the lights off and her bra still on unless Big Dick Chad is in town.

Compared to what?

Not sure how anyone can argue with the op. Benefits of living in a city are pretty limited right now.

I love all the people bashing the house who couldn't come close to affording it.
I personally like the burbs, but also if I could afford something like highland Park in Dallas, would prefer that. But I think the woodlands are awesome and hell I almost moved to league City and I think it's awesome.
I love in Lake Charles, not really any burbs, but as a guy in his 30s I get the appeal. I personally like subdivisions that are upper middle class with custom homes on larger 3/4-1 acre lots.

How do I know if he didn't provide the price?

Everybody has a style they like. Levi's sell jorts and Croc's market cap is about $1.5 billion.

This thread is weird. Are y'all equating living in the city with Manhattan or something? There are plenty of houses with yards in the cities. The benefit of a lot of them is being able to walk to restaurants for take-out. Certainly there are a lot of suburban neighborhoods with larger lots and walkable, but there are also a ton of tiny, cookie-cutter developments with nothing but chain restaurants and big box stores nearby.

Chili's curbside brings the southwestern eggrolls right to your car.

There are a few of those mixed in with the 100s of 20-30 year old smokes running the trails here. It's honestly a little absurd how many there are.

I can't afford a lot of things I don't find visual pleasing. The price doesn't make them any more or less visually appealing.

I don't understand why you are so insecure on this topic

city > burbs > country
I love nature but never understood living all alone.
all that depends on where you are at in life and what kind of job you have
I would say
Downtown in a small town like Madisonville > Rural but less than hour away from good size town > city > suburbs
But not all suburbs are created equal
A place like the woodlands >>> Ascension or livingston parish
