As in from France? Could be, but I lived there for a while and never saw a last name spelt wth an x at the end. X is plural, so it could be les Robicheaux if we're talking about the entire family.

My hunch is that you would find it spelled more commonly as "Robichaud" in France.

I thought that the "x" spelling was more common in New World French names.

I am a teacher and I see crazy names everyay. The most crazy was La-a = Ladasha. I have also had a La-T-Erica, Jarkayla, Joi (pronounced Jo-I), Tybeneigh, Sharika, Sababa and the list goes on.
