Testing is a complete mess. I have zero faith in this data- at the State and National level!
Like in Texas, LA is counting the # of positives and not the # of individual’s testing positive .

Does anyone know the criteria for hospitalizations? Does it follow the same criteria for COVID deaths?
Meaning, are they counting someone with asymptotic COVID that goes to the hospital with a broken arm?

That is such an arbitrary criteria. It depends entirely upon what criteria folks use to recommend a test, and what motivation people have for seeking a test. If we were conducting random screenings of people this may have value but not under the current situation.

Hospitalizations are not increasing due to a sudden spike in broken arms. They are increasing because the virus is spreading uncontrollably. Downvote all you want. The deniers are just
