Real ID.... Bobby Jindal is the reason Louisiana is so behind the curve on this....

He was playing to the right wing anti-government types when he condemned it as big government overreach and refused to implement it statewide when most states were doing it, and in doing so he put everybody in the state in a position of playing catch up, with all these deadlines that keep getting pushed back. Looks to me like the Oct 2020 is a hard one that will not get moved.
Did he not see that the the big mean federal government can keep people from doing basic shite like flying in airplanes?
Anyway, y'all got your Real ID yet? I'm gonna do it this year, before the inevitable clusterfrick next summer.

Specifically didn’t get one. I have a twic that I started traveling with. I also have a passport as a back up. No need for a Real ID.

Just use your passport when you fly. It makes it go quicker for the people looking you up; they know where names are on an american passport but will probably have to take a second to look around on 51 different driver's licenses.

The sad thing is I voted for him twice and in his second term he was out for himself and he didn't hide it.
He gave tax breaks to businesses that was in his corner. The Duck Dynasty people.. His wife worked for Albemarle. They moved their headquarters to BR when he became governor and as soon as his last terms was up they went back to North Carolina.
When he became governor the state had a surplus. When he left, we were in debt. How much money was spent on him using the state helicopter for personal reasons?
He wanted to run for president. That was his #1 concern... As if he even had a chance. But there will be people who will go to their grave swearing he did great things for the state just because of the letter by his name (because he was R and not D).
Oh and the education system. All of these charter schools he sunk money into. There is a charter school around where I live. It is a complete waste of money. I expect it to close within the next 5 year. Not sure what he was trying to do, but he spend money he didn't have to and gave tax breaks to select businesses.

I got it when I renewed my license a few months ago. Only took about 15 minutes.
