Looking at that list, Ukraine seems like the best option.

The other thing I would have to look into is how easy it is to apply for permanent residency. Non extradition is great, but if at some point I am staying as an "illegal" and get deported back to the US, then this whole exercise is all for nothing. I'm not really sure how any of that works.
ETA: I do think a bunch of these places would bump you up pretty fast, especially if you paid bribes.
I am deathly afraid of getting in trouble and have never really done anything to jeopardize my freedom, but it's an interesting exercise. I do believe an intelligent person could pull it off, but the paradox is that intelligent people usually don't need to go on the lam.

I edited my previous post to add residency and working issues.
Some countries you can buy into, by either buying land or "putting it into the economy". The average is about $100k. Some of the countries you can never legally work in.

Not sure I'm picking a country in a war with Russia.

I'd find my way to Houston and just camp out under HWY 59.
There's enough snowflakes in this country to give away their hard earned goods and services to those you refuse to get off their arse.

They eventually (possibly decade(s)) get into the EU.

Go to Canada and work your way East crossing by boat into Europe.
You could also get into Mexico and try to travel South if you are lucky across their Southern border into Central America and possibly make it down to South America.

Most anywhere is SE Asia is a good place to disappear. The locals won’t look for you because they don’t care.

Mexico is #1. Canada if you can figure out how to get on a ship to Europe.
That wont be easy since port security will be high.
If you are wanted for murder are your assets frozen? Finding work in a new country will be difficult.
Your best option is staying here and becoming a pan handler in another state until you have the funds to live in a third world country.

São Tomé & Príncipe
This would be a good option. Nice islands, low COL, easy visa access and off the grid. I vacationed there in 2016 and a very good local beer was only 50 cents a bottle.

Why leave the country?
Get some sturdy camping gear and head for the woods like lots of other wanted felons.

This sounds silly, but if you change your appearance and get a manual labor job that pays in cash, you could keep going like that for a while. And if the job is around a major port there's a chance you could get in with a crew and exit the country.
