Rate My Professor: Few Southern University complaints

I was looking on rate my professor website and I noticed that very few SUBR professors are mentioned. Is this due to very few students making complaints? I was primarily looking for an engineering professor, but no entries were available.

Yes, that's it. Southern University is, without question, a public Ivy school.

Rate my professor does not allow you to enter rankings through Twitter or Instagram.

I never said it was an Ivy League school. I honestly wanted to know why there are very few student comments on their professors.

I remember back in the early 2000s it was THE place to go to learn about a professor. I assume things have gone back to 'word of mouth' for finding information.
It was helpful to know how brutally hard a class was going to be before taking it. In my experience a professor has more influence on difficulty versus the material itself.

Word of mouth is Southern is cutting engineering after spring because of lack of enrollment, no accreditation, and passing rates

I heard the same thing from a pretty reliable source.

LINK
As of now Southern is accredited. I have heard nothing of them losing it. Provide an article or link.

I think people should learn to utilize the official websites for their respective fields.

Word of mouth brah. What I'm hearing is that they don't have the students to justify the classes or the teachers, and that the students aren't passing or graduating. Not having core classes = no accreditation
Your link says their next review is next year, so I might not be so off base

If those are the problems, I can see how it jeopardizes their programs. If there was an article referencing this I would read it.
For now I am safe since they do still maintain their accreditation. It makes me happier to know that I registered to take more course work this year.
Admittedly, staffing issues are apparent at SU, but as student I have not heard of anything regarding a program shut down and I have legal right to know.

If they told you, you wouldn't spend money, right? Typical prison politics

What your saying is true. Which is why I always go to the official site for a profession in order to ensure something is legitimate.
But realistically, just like some other universities I have read about, a university is under legal obligation to inform you if there program will no longer be accredited by X number year. I know someone from Northwestern who told me about this when they were axing certain programs.
Regardless, I am always watching out for myself.
