In the 1st NES version of Super Tecmo Bowl, Junior Seau was an absolute beast! Chargers and Steelers both had serious defenses.

Probably the only reason I know who Bill Pickle was. When STB came out our Saints had Walsh and Fourcade as the QBs.

Yeah, saying that the Saints were not a team I picked to use very often.

SF had the best overall team imo

San Francisco with the crossing route over the middle was unstoppable. Even if defense called the same play, you could call that play, throw into the defense and the pass would complete for 7 yard’s minimum without fail. Defense calls the play, best defender on that receiver, he’d still catch it. Same play called back to back to back was a TD on every possession. If the other team punted once or didn’t score on just one possession, you won.

I was a Bo guy, but I’d also peak at their controller and sack their arse. But had to be discreet, couldn’t do it every play.

Tecmo Bowl was great. But Tecmo Super Bowl III is the GOAT. The main screen alone still gives me feels. We played it for hours at a time and even had tournaments. It was also my first memories of creating a player and have them gain points/ratings each year.

No love on Tecmo Super Bowl for the Bengals?! David Fulcher at Safety was a fricking beast.
