This is a similar defeat as Vietnam but way politically worse.
Sinking boats and bombing infrastructure does not equal a victory. Victory is determined by comparing whether you are better/worse politically and economically after it's over.
We still don't know where their enriched nuclear material is (war did not achieve objective). Iran has MORE control over the strait of Hormuz than before. U.S. citizens are poorer now that fuel prices are higher. On the political stage, China/Russia look like stable allies compared to the U.S. The gulf countries now see that our bases did not prevent Iranian strikes on their infrastructure (this will have long term ramifications); The U.S. has lost credibility and standing with our allies.

What are you trying to compare? You couldn’t pay me to live there but I’d visit again. I’d live in Memphis or Jackson suburbs.

People that work for me that live in Mumbai don’t have to cook their own food or clean their own house. I’m talking 25 year olds have maids. You will have the most technologically advanced building and 5 star hotel on one corner with slums 2 blocks away. Large numbers of people walking around bare footed. The traffic is the worst I’ve ever seen. And, the smell. Trash and rubble seem to be everywhere. But, cranes and construction are non stop as investment is pouring in.
So, what are you trying to compare?

There’s an app on my phone called Notes. It allows me to type in things I want to remember. So when I stand up in front of people, I don’t miss any of the things that I need to say.

I actually agree with this. Their unis needed tinkering. Their powder blue football unis are their best look. Their powder blue baseball unis are fantastic.
As for LSU, I'm okay for an occasional switch but the traditional uni is iconic. The LSU brand is strong so there's no reason to mess with that. (no purple pants though :yack:).

I still write checks and balance my checkbook. I could write a check to bottom out my account and leave $.01 in it and that check wouldn’t bounce.

This is a parent decision IMO and not the child’s. If the vet supports the decision, put it to sleep and just tell the kids he died. They don’t need to know you put it to sleep. They can’t process that and might blame you due to their confusion.

This right here is one of those things that just aggravates me and I can’t let it go. Your only option is to use a large towel in those European showers and leave a big sloppy towel on the floor when you’re done. You can call guest services and ask but they look at you like you have two heads and have no idea what you’re talking about.

Yes. One of the best decisions I’ve made. My job takes 50 hours a week to stay on top of things. After deciding to pay someone else to cut and pay for someone to spray for weeds, my yard looks fantastic and I have my weekends for whatever comes up or what I want to do. I have never had to turn down doing something I want on a weekend for yard work. And, I decided not to sweat the small stuff if they don’t do it perfect.

When the commander in chief refers to it as “my parade”, it’s not going to be an effective recruiting tool. It felt forced and not genuine. People see through that this was not in the best interest of the country.

The Allen Edmonds size will be lower. I wear 12 in a sneaker and a 10.5 wide in AE.
