The 30-year mortgage is why so many people in this country are house poor. 15-year should be the max, and a down payment should be necessary.
Everyone’s houses would be smaller and also more affordable.

Checks out. At 45, I was in the best shape of my life. Wheels came off at 48.
re: Do you pay for someone to cut your yard?
Posted by PacWilly on 6/15/25 at 3:42 pm to Hangover Haven
Yes. One of the best decisions I’ve made. My job takes 50 hours a week to stay on top of things. After deciding to pay someone else to cut and pay for someone to spray for weeds, my yard looks fantastic and I have my weekends for whatever comes up or what I want to do. I have never had to turn down doing something I want on a weekend for yard work. And, I decided not to sweat the small stuff if they don’t do it perfect.
re: Army 250 Parade conspiracy

When the commander in chief refers to it as “my parade”, it’s not going to be an effective recruiting tool. It felt forced and not genuine. People see through that this was not in the best interest of the country.

Can I cross your private property anytime I want over and over to get to the other side? Why is it different just because there is a beach on the other side?
re: Allen Edmonds shoes true to size?
Posted by PacWilly on 4/24/25 at 12:25 pm to Crescent Connection
The Allen Edmonds size will be lower. I wear 12 in a sneaker and a 10.5 wide in AE.
Be prepared. AE looks great and will last but they are not comfortable shoes. I’m talking about the all leather soles.

Tell me you don't watch college football without telling me you don't watch college football....

Put the US economy into a stall/nosedive = lower gas prices
The Flood. What did the earth look like immediately before and after?
We have two- 13 y/o and 5 y/o. Great lap dogs, friendly and chill. Opposite of hyper. Highly recommend. Only drawback is shedding- you will be vacuuming lots of hair.
I’d recommend buying from reputable dealers that test for heart issues. It will not be cheap and expect to sign a contract.

She’s referring to tariffs that would increase the cost of imported goods that everybody buys. Tariffs are a hidden tax.

We let them win....."gave up too many singles and missed fastballs"
What kinda logic is that?

From what I remember, I thought Ole Miss had injuries early in that season that would explain the rough start. As they got their players back, they started winning, gained momentum, and got hot. This LSU baseball team is not comparable to Ole Miss 2022. We've had our players all year and have underperformed all year.
re: What happened to House and this defense in one year?
Posted by PacWilly on 1/3/24 at 2:04 pm to Phillytiger9
Talent was down and House could have been a better playcaller, but I believe our primary issue was our position coaches were not good technical teachers.
Even with bad scheme and good fundamentals, we would have had some stops. Our players didn't look like they knew what they were doing.

re: Kelly “Obviously we’ve got to make some decisions on offense, then a full evaluation of”
Posted by PacWilly on 1/2/24 at 10:59 am to TrueTigerTale
I am very critical of the defensive staff, but it is possible that House is not the problem and the real problem is with the position coaches. It doesn't matter who's calling plays if the players don't know technique. An overhaul of all the defensive position coaches would be welcome at this point.
re: What percentage of the blame do you put on the players ability vs the coaching staff?
Posted by PacWilly on 1/2/24 at 10:55 am to OJsLifeCoach
100% Coaches/0% Players
Our coaches don't know how to coach defense. We have better talent than what we are witnessing. Our talent is down, but that is not the primary problem.
We couldn't stop Arkansas....Grambling moved the ball on us at will for a quarter and a half.

re: Your favorite “meaningless” LSU football game

1997 independence bowl win over Notre Dame. Rondel Mealey had a great night.
San Francisco with the crossing route over the middle was unstoppable. Even if defense called the same play, you could call that play, throw into the defense and the pass would complete for 7 yard’s minimum without fail. Defense calls the play, best defender on that receiver, he’d still catch it. Same play called back to back to back was a TD on every possession. If the other team punted once or didn’t score on just one possession, you won.
re: Who is your favorite LSU FB player ever?
Posted by PacWilly on 8/1/23 at 7:43 pm to TigerLifer18
Kevin Faulk. He was special with the ball in his hands. A complete back. He had the best receiving hands on the team catching out of the backfield. Returned punts and kickoffs.
