It all roughly evens out in the end. Kitchen staff typically make a larger hourly wage.

Exactly. The entitlement is insane.

It's not entitlement.

The alternative is to double food prices, then watch the work ethic of every restaurants employee base drop down to fast food level.

Anyone who has waited tables knows the tipping game can be completely random, they also know blacks are less likely to tip. Their not tipping after the meal should be no surprise.

I would have been perfectly fine with black dude smashing asian dude in the face for stalking him like that.

Anybody who's ever waited tables would be fine with banning blacks from their restaurant.

They’re trashy of old white women that complain because there’s not enough ice in their drink even though it’s clearly fine, etc.

I don’t know, I guess being cognizant of past human behavior to inform you about future human behavior

Cuz, I’d say we are about there when you look at pricing over the last 5 years or so.

Tipping culture is out of hand. Most of these places barely hand you your order and still expect 10-20 percent on top of that.

This is the problem. This was a fairly isolated incident between two assholes. Now everyone wants to get involved and seek 'justice'. Justice for what?

The guy apologized. It is up the patron to accept. And if you don't want to give them anymore business that is ok. But WTF is the mayor or any politician supposed to do that helps?

That's food prices.

When you can no longer pay servers $2/hour to work, you will have to increase menu prices again.

And you're not getting employees to do that job at minimum wage.

So the non tipper is of reprehensible morality, but you're fine with excusing a service worker who skirts on his/her responsibilities because they are paid a real hourly wage?

tipping is a 'murcan thing, it is not much of a thing at all outside of the US, in fact tipping can be offensive to some, the servers are paid a decent wage and the prices aren't exorbitant, it has really gotten ooc since Covid

Try running a service business on minimum wage employees.

The ones you are able to hire won't give a frick.

This is the same old argument on tips and the food service industry.

Pay what it takes to keep good people employed and price the food accordingly.

$2.16 an hour is a decent wage?
