Baton Rouge does not have the necessary natural land and climate for a Winter Olympics. Tesla isnt hiring PhDs from MIT to man their assembly line. Monroe has an open automotive plan that can be modified and updated and plenty of baws who would hop on.

They’ve tore the old GM plant down. But there is ample land on that side of town to host a large Tesla like factory.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Good for him for trying. A lot more than I can say for most of the leaders in this state.

This was going to be my exact response. Good on him for doing this, maybe if the rest of our sorry arse politicians followed suit we’d get somewhere.

Anyone bashing this is a full blown moron.

We need Tesla or upcoming mfg's to come here. Oilfield is dying and I don't want my home to become a ghost town.

If Alabama can do it then why not? From a logistical stand point it could actually work. Then factor in the COL and low taxes it could be lucrative to someone like Musk who is going to have to find ways to make cuts across the board at Tesla.

I don’t live in Louisiana but I want it to happen just for the possible Ed Orgeron Tesla commercial.

If it weren't for every corrupt politician sticking his hand out Louisiana could have a lot more industry.

Yes, there is ample manufacturing infrastructure and workforce in place already to bring in business or parts of business like that. Would be a smart move. Need to provide tax breaks to these companies to get them to come here which will in turn help in provide good salaries and benefits to the boots on the ground.
