I'm guessing a million people a year experience mardi gras, much of which is in small towns all over La. A metric shite ton of good food is served and a lot of family, friends, and neighbors get together to have a good time.
But you think that what less than 1% of what some trashy fckers does defines a holiday?

You're on the wrong side of Mardi Gras.

Mardi Gras is quite possibly the trashiest holiday there is. Nothing but a bunch of drunk cigarette smoking white trash going fricking nuts over stupid parades that they get up way too early for. Then there’s king cakes. Stuffed or not, they all fricking suck. Everything about the season is very over rated. Mardi Gras is trashy.

Parts of this are true. However, it is not an accurate description of all that Mardi Gras has to offer.

Mardi Gras is what you make it, my friend. You should find something to do in the spirit of the celebration that you enjoy. It is a wonderful, cultural celebration that is unique to your home. You should be proud of that and embrace it!

Happy Carnival season to you!

I agree with everything but the king cake. I love all kinds of cake and king cake is no exception.

Well, I have been in New Orleans for Mardi Gras, and the tits 4 beads bit is an accurate, and actual representation of the level of trashiness you can expect to find.

I don't get people like you. If you don't like Mardi Gras it isn't hard to avoid, unless you live on St. Charles or in the French Quarter. Just don't go to parades if it isn't your thing. It's simple. People who hate on things that other people enjoy boggle my mind.

the op lives on some land locked lot in the middle of a cane field that he can’t even access without asking his neighbors permission to drive down their driveway.

He’s probably never been to New Orleans
