If you don't like it that's great, but don't be a bitch about it. I love king cake and while people go nuts over parades, its just an event in which everyone is in the spirit.
Is halloween trashy because white trash is everywhere bringing their kids to get free candy? Is 4th of July trashy because white trash is out everywhere shooting fireworks? You can find a "white trash element" in everything. Don't go if you don't like it but stop bitching about it....

Mardi Gras isn’t for everyone. Just like Jazz Fest.
You actually have to be a fun person and like to have fun to enjoy both.
I’d much rather sit on the corner of Camp and Napoleon, or Milan and St Charles all weekend/week than spend 10 min In the french Quarter.
As long as Ms Maes is open and in walking distance I’m good.

Mardi Gras has something for everyone. You just have to know how to do it. Where to stand, when to get there, what to bring.

Not liking something doesn't determine if you're a fun person or not. Just your brand of fun sounds fricking miserable to me. I feel the same way about Jazz Fest as I do about MG. Nothing against it, but you'd have to pay me. A lot. I don't like crowds. Target on a Sunday is too many people for me. It doesn't make me not fun. I just prefer my fun on a smaller, quieter scale.

Christ.... you understand that you can go to Mardi Gras and NOT be in the middle of a mob don’t you? We’ve been on our corner os St. Charles for over 20 years and it’s nothing but families having a good time. It’s not all out of towner’s tits on Bourbon. If you can’t enjoy humanity at its finest that’s on you.

I don't like big groups of people. I don't care if they're families or drunks. I like socializing on a small scale. Again, nothing personal. I'm a live and let live person. Not sure how my point of MG loving people take it very personally if you don't particularly care for it keeps going over heads here.

The only good thing about Mardi Gras is Ralph's King Cake. New Orleans is already a shite hole, during MG it's a crowded shite hole. Fuk New Orleans & Mardi Gras!

The Zulu parade is racist and politically uncorrect. If I asked a black person at work to throw me a coconut I would be fired.
The Krewe costumes remind me of the KKK and I am led to believe have their roots in it.
