I just converted to a good raincoat a few years ago. I used to use an umbrella, but am solidly team raincoat now. The entrance/exit from a vehicle is seamless.

Got a Gage rain coat years ago for work and its pretty legit. It holds up to anything. Was pricey though

raincoat
i don't mind dripping all over the floor of every store i walk into and getting water on everything i inadvertently graze if it means getting in and out of a vehicle is slightly easier

Depends on what I'm doing.
To/at/from work: Umbrella
Out and about: Raincoat

Not so much a rain coat but more jacket. Also gotta matching pair of pants. Use to walk alot outside at previous job. was always fun watching people under umbrella have them turn inside of from when and getting soaked with me sitting there bone dry.

I thought Gage was Grundens more affordable line?

Everyone has a good raincoat in the NW. Some of us have 3
It's a thing here. People with umbrellas are basic bitches.

It might be. Was still around $160

yep, and as a bonus you get free mushrooms growing from your seats and carpet as you completely soak the seats in water dripping everywhere every time you get in

I go combo as well. I have a yuge almost 4 foot squared off umbrella for walking into work. I have to walk a couple of blocks. Also have a nicer raincoat with a hood that has a visor on the front.

After being in the Army, no way I can use an umbrella. It's pretty much hard wired in to me at this point.

I like a raincoat if I'm going to be out in it for an extended period of time, but an umbrella for quick trips.
Rain boots are convenient to have in the trunk for really terrible storms during the summer.
