Radio Signals From Other Side of Universe Discovered

Dozens of radio signals emanating from deep space have been discovered. These signals—known as fast radio bursts (FRBs)—were first discovered just over a decade ago and since then have posed a mystery for scientists studying them.
FRBs last just a few milliseconds and appear to be coming from a source beyond the Milky Way. They are picked up by radio telescopes—but are normally only found by scientists in the data long after the event has ended. They have previously been compared to seeing the flash of a camera in a pitch black room, then trying to work out where the camera is located while still in the dark.

Are you sure it's not from Uranus?

This is an unsettling description.

Good to hear, now I have something else to worry about

I think this was the plot of the movie Contact. Someone get Jodie Foster on the line.

Sounds like the plot to Event Horizon all over again.

We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life night develop into something we wouldn't want to meet.

He’s not wrong and puts an interesting perspective on it. Think about it this way. If we were visited by another life form Earth would immediately take whatever shows up as a threat and have weapons pointed at it. Which I have always found somewhat funny that we would look to defend ourselves from something that is clearly much more advanced than we are.

IF these signals were sent from some intelligent life form, the chances of them surviving for 3.7 billion years are very slim.

Whatever sent them is dead by now.

Space is filled with radio waves that’s nothing new. We’ve had radio telescopes for a long time. The weirdness of the FRBs is the amount of energy that’s packed into it.

What if they are so advanced, all you had to do was throw water on them and they all died?

Is it Hitler opening the 1936 Olympics?

No worries. Some of my old rock shows are just about there.
On second thought. We're all screwed.
