This part makes me a skeptic because they never say what these racial slurs ever are. just that some were said.

Typically it means things were said, but reasonable people wouldn’t think is bad.
Like Gruden saying someone who looks like he is in dire need of an epi pen before he suffocates as having tire sized lips.
