Never come close to a wet beaver without protection.

Was it actually rabid or was it just being an animal?

Well a number of people are being treated for rabies, and the animal was observed as Exhibiting unusual behavior it was eventually caught and is being tested ,,,we will see, those tests do take time but those bit are being treated

So I don't know you tell me did the Beaver have rabies ?

Had beavers on our land. They got pretty fricking pissed when we went wreck their dam

But a beaver doesnt stand a chance against a backhoe

Pretty sure it’s standard operating procedure to preventatively treat for rabies when bit by a wild animal until confirmed whether the animal does or doesn’t have rabies.

To answer your question, I don’t know, but they looked like they were being bit at waters edge, so it’s also possible it felt threatened.

Well, the article says that the New Jersey wildlife personnel detected some unusual behavior on behalf of the Beaver

If you've ever come across a Beaver that's been behaving unusually

I'd go with stay away, and it's the Beaver's fault
