I've come across a few beavers that made me behave unusually, but that's probably for a different thread.

So a serious story to follow on beaver (the animal type).

Myself and another patrol unit driving down a desolate road in a swampy area. The other unit is ~5 miles ahead of me and this officer is young and I am basically shadowing him. In the road sits his patrol car with rear overheads on and as I pull up he is on his knees grasping his left hand. I don't know wtf has happened as no radio chatter and no one is around. Gun drawn I survey and ask wtf.

This fricker saw a beaver crossing the road and wanted to "see what his tail felt like".He grabbed the beaver and the beaver ran his bucks thru and thru the spot between the index finger and thumb. He flung it off and the beaver left the scene.

All on dash and bodycam.

Done he was as a peace officer.

Who among us can truly say that they have never had any contact whatsoever with a diseased beaver?

Doesn’t look rabid, looks like it was being fricked with and decided to say FAFO.

Looked rabid. Beavers stay well away from people. They have dens that can only be reached by underwater, and that’s where they go the minute they see a human. I hike past about 30 beaver dams a year and I’ve seen two beavers in the last 15 years, one in Stockholm and one from my car.
