Phew, glad to hear all of those immunologists, doctors and statisticians are wrong and you're right.

You mean the ones who say we don’t know much of anything about the virus, the data is incomplete, so everyone freak out?

Posted on 3/18/20 at 11:21 am to Flashback
Funny how the virus can survive in 98.6 degrees but low 80s is going to fry it.

You didn’t know a CDC disease scientist posts on the OT from the lab?

It's been hot and humid for a week here and our state is rising faster than almost any other.

No, what we will see is an increase in confirmed cases because we are increasing testing. There are fricktons of infected folks out there, their infection isn't going to go away because of the weather, the weather just helps to slow the spread (theoretically).

It’s been warm/humid here in Louisiana and the virus is still spreading like wildfire.
It’s also not going to be warm and humid across the world.

Uh, no it won’t. Numbers are going to shoot up now that testing is more widespread and all that got infected before the shutdowns will start showing symptoms by then.
The End of next week/beginning of week after will show if the shutdowns attempts have slowed the spread.

Nice try Mugatu but nobody's killing the Malaysian Prime Minister for you today.

I wouldn't say wildfire. I mean if it was spreading like wildfire we wouldn't be able to count them. As it stands the WHOLE WORLD is just over 200k atm. Continue hand washing and sanitizing but by all means let's be a little bit realistic as to what this thing is actually doing.
Of course numbers are going to go up and give the impression things are spiraling... but that's because testing has to catch up with the virus. It appears we're pretty close to testing everyone with the correct symptoms so real numbers should be online within the week.
