Today is my last day where I currently work. Now, I call my job remote, but technically, that's not correct. I still come in the office every day, it's that no one else does.

Typically, if someone was to leave, they'd take a victory lap around the office saying goodbye to people. What's the protocol now? My boss already sent a bullshite email out to our team announcing my departure. Now I'm getting all these responses from people that I 'work with', but really don't even fricking know.

Send a farewell email out to your buddies? I've already taken a shite on my boss's desk and drank the CEO's beer.

TIA

I didn’t even bother with any of the theatrics when my last remote contract ended.

You are weirdly obsessed with your social life revolving around work.

Just make sure you let Jeff know how to use the fryer and you should be all set.

Nobody cares that you're leaving.

Just accept it, move on, and enjoy the long weekend.

Just leave, nobody will even remember you in a couple weeks. Connect on LinkedIn with people that you may want to reach back out to at some point. If you're actually friends with anyone, they'll already know how to get in touch.

Are you against remote work? Your posting history would prove you very much enjoy being in an office.

I also put in my notice at my remote job.

I told my supervisor and she told her supervisor. I then told the rest of the team I work with.

As far as I'm concerned I'm gone. I'm not sending an email or letting anyone else know. No idea if that's the "right" way but I also don't care.

I'd just send an email to the people you work with saying its been nice working with them, etc.

Never know when you might run into them again in the work field.

Leave on good terms. You might need them for something someday.

Is the new job remote as well?

If so, don't quit the old job and start the new job. Make two salaries.
